At 4pm on Sunday, Feb 5th, the day after an excessively forceful eviction, Occupy DC will regroup at the south lawn of McPherson Square to do what makes it strong – communal decision-making as a general assembly.
Topics of discussion will include the question of what Occupy DC will look like with less of a presence in McPherson Square, using lessons from other occupations as jumping off points. We may also discuss community outreach, upcoming direct actions and sleeping arrangements for those who were displaced by the National Park Service.
A lot of new people took interest in Occupy DC during the eviction. We hope to see all of you at GA.
This occupation is far from over. They can’t evict an idea whose time has come.
